The Doers was started in 2018 when Jess, and former business partner, Laura, saw first-hand how many businesses were juggling agencies, freelancers, and in-house teams — often with more chaos than results. The idea was simple: build a trusted collective of senior marketers, designers, and creatives who could slot in quickly, work seamlessly, and actually deliver. Over the years, that vision’s grown into a core leadership team that’s been together for 5+ years, supported by a network of tried-and-tested specialists. Together, we’re not just good — we’re bloody GREAT at what we do.
You get the knowledge and experience of a complete marketing department without the hassle of managing it yourself. We handle the moving parts: one contract, one invoice, one consistent point of contact — and a team that just gets on with the doing.

We can craft a strategic marketing plan to suit any budget and when budgets are a bit tighter, it’s all about doing less but doing it really well. We’re like to have a budget chat very early on so before jumping on a discovery call with us, have a think about what you have to spend and what you want to be achieving. We can let you know what’s realistic and build your marketing strategy from there.

All of our projects, from ongoing retainers to one-off strategy sessions, are overseen by a member of The Doers leadership team. Who that is depends on your sector and the channels or tactics we’re activating — ensuring you always have senior oversight from the start. Around them, we build a tailored team of specialists with the right experience for the job in hand. Your allocated lead acts as your main point of contact, project-managing the team and keeping everything moving smoothly. One contract, one invoice, one point of call. Simple.
We’re always transparent about who’s working on your project, and intro calls are built in. Depending on the scope, our specialists will also join regular check-ins — especially when their expertise is centre stage. After all, they’re the ones who make the magic happen.

It’s a simple three step process:
A signed contract - this will outline the scope of work, timeline, fees and payment terms.
Client questionnaire - we’ll ask you to fill out a detailed online questionnaire to give us everything we need to create a detailed brief.
Kick-off call - we’ll run through the brief and questionnaire responses together with all of The Doers who will be working on your business.

We’ve been working virtually way before it became trendy and most of our freelancers are based around the UK and beyond. Whilst Zoom is great we’re also readily available to meet in person and this is our preference when delivering one of our in-depth marketing strategy sessions. So please don’t be shy and feel free to invite us to your gaff if that works better for you.
